Purchase Requests
Propose a purchase on a shared account and let the group vote to approve or reject it before you buy — from the app or the Telegram/WhatsApp bots.
Purchase Requests let any account member propose a purchase for group approval before it enters the budget. Other members vote directly in the app or through Telegram and WhatsApp; approved requests become planned expenses you can convert to real expenses with one tap.
Creating a request
- Go to Settings → Purchase Requests.
- Tap the + button.
- Fill in the title and amount (required). Optionally add a category, merchant, description, photo, and deadline.
- Tap Send — all other account members receive a notification and can vote.
Voting
Open the request from Settings → Purchase Requests or from the push notification. Tap Approve, Reject, or Abstain. You can change your vote at any time while the request is still pending.
Telegram and WhatsApp members can vote directly from the bot message using the inline buttons.
Approval rules
The account owner can set the approval rule under Settings → Purchase Requests → Approval rule:
- Majority (default) — more than half of all members must approve.
- Unanimous — every member must approve; one rejection closes the request.
- Owner only — only the account owner’s vote counts.
Abstaining members are not counted in the denominator, so non-participating members do not block a decision.
After approval
When a request is approved, any editor or owner can tap Add to purchase plan. This creates a planned expense — it appears on the expense detail screen with a “Planned · Mark as purchased” banner but does not affect your budget totals yet.
When you actually make the purchase, open the expense and tap the banner to mark it as purchased. The planned flag is removed and the expense enters your budget normally.
Notifications
You will receive push notifications when:
- A new purchase request is created (all members except the creator).
- Someone votes on your request.
- A request you are part of is approved or rejected.
You can disable purchase request notifications under Settings → Notifications → Purchase requests.
