Group Trip Wallet
A temporary shared account for a travel group — split expenses among members and settle up who owes whom at the end of the trip.
Creating a trip
Go to Add account and choose Trip. Give it a name, pick an end date, and choose the currency you’ll mostly be spending in. Invite your travel companions the same way you’d invite anyone to a shared account — share the invite link or code.
Splitting an expense
When you add an expense inside a trip account, a Split between section appears below the amount. Pick who the expense applies to, then choose how to split it:
- Equally — the amount is divided evenly among the selected members.
- Exact amounts — enter exactly how much each person owes; the amounts must add up to the total.
- Percentage — enter a percentage for each person; the percentages must add up to 100%.
- Shares — give each person a number of shares (for example, 2 shares for a couple, 1 share for someone traveling alone); the total is divided proportionally.
You can also change who paid — it defaults to whoever added the expense, but you can pick someone else if you’re logging a purchase on their behalf.
Settling up
Tap the trip in your account switcher — while the trip is active or has just ended, you’ll see a days-left badge you can tap to open Settle Up.
The Settle Up screen shows the minimum number of payments needed to clear everyone’s balances. If you owe someone money, tap Pay — if they’ve added a Revolut or PayPal handle in their payment settings, the app opens a pre-filled payment link. For BLIK, you’ll see their phone number to send the transfer manually. If they haven’t set up a payment method, just mark the debt as settled once you’ve paid them another way.
If someone owes you money, once they’ve paid, tap Confirm Received to clear the debt from the balance.
Setting your payment info
Open Payment Settings from the trip account screen to add how others should pay you back — a Revolut or PayPal username, or your phone number for BLIK.
Trip lifecycle
A trip has three states:
- Active — the trip is ongoing. Expenses can be added and edited normally.
- Settling — the trip’s end date has passed. You’ll get a reminder to settle up. Expenses can still be added if you’re catching up on the last few days.
- Archived — the trip owner has closed it out. The account becomes read-only forever, kept as a record of the trip. Archiving usually requires all debts to be confirmed first, though the owner can force-close it if needed.
Only the trip owner can archive it, from the trip account screen.
Notifications
You’ll get a reminder when a trip ends and it’s time to settle up. You can turn this off in Settings → Notifications.
